Pastor Scott Whitney has served the East Gold Street Wesleyan Church congregation, since July 2011. After graduating from high school in Birch Run, Michigan he moved to Central, South Carolina to pursue his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion at Southern Wesleyan University.

In 1992, he married Joy Renee’ Whitney. In 1993 he graduated from college and immediately joined with another minister in planting a new Wesleyan church in Belmont, North Carolina. He loves to study the Bible, to preach, to teach and to share the testimony of his faith in Jesus Christ!

Pastor Scott and Renee’ have two children, Ayden Elijah (19 years old) and Alyssa Nicole (19 years old), who next to Jesus are the absolute joy of their lives!
